Public Hearing regarding the DNR’s intent to reissue a WPDES (clean water discharge) permit for Larson Acres near Evansville, Rock County.
Comments can be made at the hearing or in writing. This facility has been the focus of a 10 year battle with local citizens. Their situation affects all of us in the state.

Roth CAFO public hearing on the DNR’s WPDES (clean water discharge) permit. Bring your verbal and written comments.
We have been working on this permit for over 2 years and public participation is crucial.

“Red-Shouldered Hawks in the Driftless Region” and Music of the Mississippi River with Jon Stravers and Kevin Dohse. Jon is the Driftless Area Coordinator of the Audubon’s Mississippi River Initiative. He brings 30 years experience of studies of Red-Shouldered Hawks on the River.

Saturday, April 17, 6:30-9:00pm,
Gays Mills Community Building, 212 Main Street, Gays Mills.
CSP Movie and Popcorn evening. “King Corn” will start promptly at 6:30 for those who missed it last fall. Discussion and social time at 8:00. The sequel, “Big River” will be shown at 8:30.
These films spin a yarn with great insight and humor while showing the absurdity of our food system.

Earth Day Celebration to include music, theater, organic food, activism tent, children’s tent, speakers, poetry, puppets, etc. Wonderful gathering with planning in process.
